This article provides an overview of the process for editing Shopify product images in Photoroom. Some of the steps are required, while others are optional.

Availability

  • Photoroom for Shopify must be connected to your Shopify store

  • Publishing to Shopify requires a Max or Ultra subscription.

Steps (Android)

When you first set up Photoroom to connect to your Shopify store, the two applications sync with each other. In Photoroom, you can see your Shopify Products by selecting Products.

Editing

To edit Shopify product images:

  1. Open your Shopify Products catalog.

  2. Select the product you want to edit.

  3. Edit the images, either in bulk using the Shopify Products editor or individually using the main Photoroom editor.

  4. Publish the changes to Shopify.

That is the common workflow for everything you do in the Shopify Products editor. You select a product, make your changes, and then publish the update to Shopify.

Which editor to use?

For editing, you can use the Shopify Products editor to make these changes:

  • Apply templates to your product images, to give them consistent layers and backgrounds

  • Resize the product images

  • Change the positioning, alignment, and padding

  • Change the background

  • Apply AI Shadows for added realism and depth

  • Use AI tools to generate new images, including AI Fashion Models, Ghost Mannequins, and recolored versions of your images.

For any other changes, open individual images in the main editor. You can use that to make other edits, like change the brightness of a layer, or add text or graphics. When you exit, you have the option to apply the changes to only the selected image or all images.

Important: Edits only appear in your Shopify store after you publish them.
