Billing for Spaces

Learn about paying for a Space that's used by a team of people

Photoroom uses a "one subscription, one Space" model, where you pay one subscription for each Space that you want to use. The subscription is for the Space, not the amount of users who use that Space.

How many people can share a Space?

You can invite up to 49 people to join you in a Space for no extra charge! This applies to all plans.

Subscription for Space

Number of people who can join Space

Space features and limits

Total cost

Free

50 (Admin + 49)

Free (limited)

Free

Pro

50 (Admin + 49)

Pro

1 Pro subscription for the Space

Max

50 (Admin + 49)

Max

1 Max subscription for the Space

Ultra

50 (Admin + 49)

Ultra

1 Ultra subscription for the Space

For example, let’s say you create a Space and upgrade it to Pro. You then invite 30 people to join your Pro Space. They can all join for no extra charge and they will get Pro access while working in your Space.

Adding teammates helps you move faster — not pay more.

Do the limits increase if you invite more people?

No. Each Space has a set amount of AI credits and these are shared by all team members in that Space. When any team member uses an AI feature to generate an image, it costs AI credits.

For more details, see AI credits and Batch export limits.

Who pays the subscription for a Space?

An Admin is responsible for paying the subscription for a Space.

  • Personal Space: The person who created the Photoroom account (and the Space) is the Admin by default.

  • Shared Personal Space or Team Space: By default, the person who created the Space is an Admin, but it is also possible to turn other members of the Spaces into Admins.

When there are multiple Admins, Photoroom uses the payment details of the first Admin who buys a subscription (for that Space).

Access to subscription benefits in other Spaces

Your subscription does not transfer into other Spaces.

Each Space requires a subscription. The subscription defines what features and limits are available to everyone in that Space.

What happens to team member subscriptions from previous versions of Photoroom?

In the past, Photoroom required each team member to have a subscription. This is no longer the case. We now use a 1 subscription per Space model (see table at the start of this article).

If you previously paid for each team member’s seat, we will automatically move your Space to a plan that matches your spend. For example, if you have paid for 10 seats, we will upgrade your Space to an Ultra Space.
