Create any backdrop you like with Photoroom's AI Backgrounds feature. Just upload the photo you want to use as the foreground, enter a description of the background you want and leave the rest to Photoroom.

If you're not sure what type of background you want, you can choose from a list of popular categories. These are all set up for you already, so there's no need to enter your own description.

On Web App

To create a design that has an AI Background:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select AI Tools.

  3. Select AI Backgrounds.

  4. Upload a photo.

  5. Use the AI model menu in the side panel to choose the AI model for generating the images.

  6. Either:

    • Select one of the Suggested AI Backgrounds

    • Select an AI Background from your Brand kit

    • Select a recently used prompt to generate an AI Background

    • Select one of the AI Backgrounds from the theme categories, such as Trending, Mood, Interior, etc.

    • Select Create a background and make your own prompt.

      You can use an Assisted prompt, which has a structure you can follow. Alternatively, select Manual and enter a free-hand description. Select Generate images when you have completed your prompt.

  7. [Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as add text layers or graphics.

  8. [Optional ] Select Download to download your design as an image file in the browser. Enter a name for the download folder, choose an image file format, and then select Download to confirm.

  9. Select the Home button to save your design and exit the editor.
