Resize product images for your store (Web App)

How to change the size of one or more product images for your product listings. Web App.

Use the Resize feature in the Product editor to change the size (aspect ratio) of your product images. It's a quick way to size your images to meet store requirements or to standardize your listings for a more professional look.

Product listing images. They all show the same bag, but each image is sized differently.

Note: This article describes resizing product images using the Product catalog and Product editor. We assume that you have already connected Photoroom to your store and have listings in your Product catalog.


Steps (Web App)

To resize product images for your connected store:

  1. Select the product images you want to resize.
    ​

    ​

  2. Select Resize.

  3. Choose a preset size or select Custom size and enter a Width and Height.

  4. Choose how Photoroom should make the image fit the new canvas size.
    ​

    • Expand with AI
      Uses AI to generate extra content to fill the canvas, while keeping the image looking realistic. Uses AI credits.
      ​

    • Fill image
      Centers the image on the canvas and resizes it to fill the space. It may crop the image from the edges.
      ​

    • Fit image
      Makes the image as large as possible on the canvas. The entire image is shown on the canvas. Any empty canvas space is transparent.
      ​

  5. [Optional] Repeat steps 2-5 for the product's other images.

  6. [Optional] Use the Background settings to replace the backgrounds.

  7. [Optional] Use the Position settings to change the alignment or padding.
    ​

  8. [Optional] Make additional changes using the Product editor.

  9. When you have finished editing, publish your changes.
