The Product editor has an AI Shadows tool that you can use to add realistic shadow effects to your product images. The shadows help to create a sense of depth and realism, making products appear more natural in your store.
Note: This article assumes you have already connected Photoroom to your Shopify store.
Steps (Web App)
To apply AI Shadows in the Product editor:
Select the product images you want to apply AI Shadows to.
To learn about selecting images, see How to select images in the Product editor (Web App).
Select AI Shadows.
Do one of the following:
Choose a shadow style from the Presets. These are pre-made shadow effects, such as Soft, Hard, and Floating.
Select Custom and use the shadow options to control the Intensity, Softness, Direction, and Spread of the shadow. Custom AI Shadows use AI credits.

[Optional] Use the Product orientation settings to control whether the shadow makes the product look Upright or lying Flat. Auto is the default, which means Photoroom will choose the orientation automatically.
Check the preview. If you are happy with the effect, select Apply to images.
[Optional] Make additional changes using the Product editor, such as adding text or graphics.
When you have finished editing, publish your changes to Shopify.
