Use AI tools to edit Product Catalog images (Web App)

You can use Photoroom's AI tools to create and edit product catalog images. The AI tools include:

  • Recolor
    Change the color of an object in a product image
    ​

  • Product Beautifier
    Generate a studio-style image of a product
    ​

  • Virtual Model
    Show clothing and accessories on a virtual model.
    ​

  • Product Staging
    Show a product in a realistic scene.
    ​

  • Edit with AI
    Use a prompt to describe changes to a product image.
    ​

  • Flat lay
    Show clothing laid flat.
    ​

  • Ghost Mannequin
    Show clothing on an invisible ghost mannequin.
    ​

  • Ironing
    Remove creases and wrinkles from clothing images.

Steps (Web App)

To edit or generate a product image using AI tools in Product Catalog, follow the steps below. The video shows an example of using Virtual Model to generate a product image.

(Video is edited to show faster generation speed).

  1. Log in at app.photoroom.com.

  2. Select the Space that's connected to your Shopify store.

  3. Open your Product Catalog and select the product you want to edit.

  4. Select AI tools.

  5. Select an AI tool (for example, Virtual Model).

  6. Select the image(s) you want to edit or use as a starting point.

  7. Use the AI tool settings to define what you want in the generated image.

  8. Select Generate.
    Each generation uses AI credits.
    ​

Photoroom generates an AI image and adds it to your product listing. You can edit it in the same way as any other product listing image.

When you have finished, publish the changes to Shopify.
