Start with a good product photo
The quality of the cut-out is directly related to the quality of the photo. Here are a few tips:
Make sure to get good lighting (go outside or have a high-wattage light on)
Have a background that has a contrasting color to what you are photographing, and is not too textured. A white or blue backdrop is often ideal.
Take a photo of the entire object. This will work better with Photoroom and you can always zoom-in after.
Use a Photoroom Template to remove the background

Open the Photoroom app (iPhone, iPad, Android) or the web app.
On the Create page, select Start from Photo.
Select a photo to import it. Photoroom makes a cut-out of the object in your photo.
Select the template with a transparent background.
Edit the image, if you wish, and then select back to return to the Create page.
As long as you made an edit on the imported image, Photoroom will save it in Your Content.
This process is the same on iPhone, iPad, Android devices, and the Web App.
