Photoroom's AI Fashion Models tool lets you present clothing products and accessories on realistic AI models. It's designed to produce photoshoot-style images without the cost of hiring photographers, models, and equipment.
How it works:
You provide at least one source image. (You can use several source images to show an outfit and accessories on a model).
You use the AI Fashion Models settings to set your preferences, such as the model to use, the size, and background.
Photoroom generates an image based on the source image, the chosen settings, and a prompt.
You can then use the generated image as is or you can open it in the main editor to make further changes. You can also generate variations, if needed.

Ways to access AI Fashion Models
AI Fashion Models is available as a standalone tool, and from AI tools in Batch and Photoroom for Shopify. For the step-by-step guides, see Workflows in Related content (below).
Settings for AI Fashion Models
When you access the AI Fashion Models tool, use the following settings to guide Photoroom.
Source image(s)
AI Fashion Models needs at least one source image to use as a starting point. You can add a single photo of clothing or use several clothing and accessory images to create a complete outfit. (Use the + option to add another image.)
Model
Use the Model setting to choose the model that will pose with your product. The Model setting shows the name of the currently selected model, for example, Casey.
Choose from the list of pre-made models or select + Custom to upload your own model image.
To learn more about using your own model, see the Custom model articles (listed in the Related content section at the end).
Background
Use to set the background for the AI-generated image. Do one of the following:
Choose a background theme from the pre-made list.
Select + to use a custom background. You can:
Upload an image
Take a photo (mobile only)
Use an AI tool to generate an image
Choose from images already uploaded to Photoroom
Choose from AI images previously generated by Photoroom.
Pose
Use Pose to set the model's body position. There are many different positions available from the Pose list.
Tip: Use the prompt to further control the body position and also the crop. For example: "The model has her left hand in her pocket."
Quality
The Quality setting affects image resolution, detail, AI credit usage, and how long the image takes to generate. For details, see Set the Quality of AI images.
Size
Use to set the aspect ratio of the image, see Set the Aspect Ratio of AI images.
Brand
Use to control whether the Brand description influences the AI when it generates your AI Fashion Models images. For details, see Control the influence of the Brand description.
Prompt
Use the prompt field to enter any other information for the AI, for example, "show top half of model, focus on t-shirt. Promotional image for t-shirt."
Tip: See our Write more effective prompts for AI article.
Context menu settings
Each generated image has a context menu that contains options for working further with the image. For example, there are options for creating variations and generating a video (depending on the Space subscription).
The context menu settings are common to all AI tools. You can learn about them in Context menu options for AI tools.
Review and edit settings
When you are ready to use an AI image, select it to display the review and edit settings. From here, you can download the image to use, make final changes, or open it in the main editor to make manual changes such as add text or graphics.
The review and edit settings are common to all standalone AI tools. You can learn about them in Review and edit an AI image.
