Photoroom makes it easy to resize your photos for different channels, such as social media posts, store backgrounds, and product listings. By using the Resize tool, you can:
Resize your photo to a different size
Let Photoroom automatically extend your image to fit the new size, while keeping your image realistic.
For example, in the image below, we used Resize to make a landscape design from a portrait photo.
In this article, we explain how to use the Resize tool on the Android version of Photoroom. If you are using the iOS or Web App version, see:

Requires AI credits.
On Android
To use Resize:
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Resize.
Choose an image to work with:
Choose a photo from your Gallery
Take a new photo with your device's Camera
Select an image file from your Files
Use Generate an image with AI to create a new image.
Select the size you want. Choose from one of the preset sizes or select Custom Dimensions and enter the width and height.
Photoroom applies the new size and automatically extends your image to fill the new area.
[Optional] Drag and pinch your image to zoom in or out and reposition the image on the canvas.
Tip: To undo your changes, select Reset and then select Extend background.
[Optional] Select Variations to create alternative versions of the image.
When you have an image you are happy with, select it and then select Done.
Photoroom opens the image in the main editor.[Optional] Use the editor to make additional changes, such as adding text or graphics.
Select Export to save your design in Photoroom and as an image file on your device. There are also options to share the image and to create a video based on the image.
Select Done to exit the editor.
