Each image layer on a batch image has a pill menu that you can use to edit the layer. There are many layer editing options available, including Edit Cutout, Retouch, Light On, Crop, and common adjustments such as brightness and contrast.
Steps (Web App)
To make changes to an image layer on a batch image, follow the video and instructions below. The instructions are divided into separate sections and they are all optional.
Note: To cancel an unwanted change, use the Undo option in the header.
Control which parts of a layer are kept or removed
Use the Edit Cutout option on the layer's pill menu to enter Edit Cutout mode.
In Edit Cutout mode, you can:
Erase parts of the layer
Restore parts of the layer that have been removed, such as the background.

Remove parts of a layer with Retouch
Use Retouch on the layer's pill menu to remove part of a layer. Photoroom replaces the removed area with realistic and appropriate AI-generated content.

Add a highlight with Light On
Use Light On on the layer's pill menu to add a highlight to the layer.
The Light On feature is available on various types of layer and you can find out about it in Apply a studio-light effect to batch images (Web App).
Adjust the brightness, contrast, and more
Use the Adjust settings to make changes to the layer's appearance. There are many settings you can change, including brightness, highlights, saturation, and opacity.

Crop the image layer
Use the Crop setting to trim the image layer so that it is smaller and contains less content.

More actions
The pill menu has a More actions context menu with further editing options. These options are available on various types of layer:
Drop shadow

Outline

Reflection
See Apply a reflection effect to a batch of images (Web App).
Align to image
The Align to image menu options work in the same way as the Align to image options in the Layout settings. See Position, flip, and rotate a batch of images (Web App).
Duplicate
Use to make a copy of the layer. The copy is added automatically and is a completely separate layer with its own layer settings.
Delete
Use to delete the layer.
Bring forward
Use to move the layer forward. This option works in the same way as moving the layer up in the stack order in the Layers settings. See Change the order of layers on a batch of images (Web App).
Send backwards
Use to move the layer backwards. This option works in the same way as moving the layer down in the stack order in the Layers settings. See Change the order of layers on a batch of images (Web App).
