On the Web App version of Photoroom, you can upload a batch of images and then make changes to them all at once.
Depending on what you need, you can:
Apply a template to the images
Resize the images
Change the position of the images
Give the images a single color background
Replace the background with an AI-generated background
Add AI-generated shadows.
You can also use the editor to make changes to each image individually.
On Web App
In this video, we show how to access the options for editing all images in a batch at once. As an example, we show a template being applied to all images in the batch and also resizing.
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select Batch.
Either:
Select Import Images and then select the images you want to add to your batch.
Select Import Folder and then select the folder that contains the images you want to add to your batch.
If required, confirm that you want to upload the images.
[Optional] Select the Grid icon at the top and choose the size of the grid for showing the batch images.
Small grid
To view more images on screen at once, but at a smaller size.
Medium grid
For a grid size between small grid and large grid.
Large grid.
To view less images on screen at once, but at a larger size.
[Optional] To apply a template to the images in your batch:
Select Templates.
Select the template you want to use. There are many categories available, including your team templates. To see all templates in a category, click next to the category name and use the see all link or the arrows to cycle left and right through the templates.
The template will apply to all images in the batch.
[Optional] Select Resize and choose the size for your images. There are options for various different sizes including social media sizes and you can enter a custom size too.
When you resize, Photoroom automatically adjusts the content in your images to fit the new canvas size. If needed, you can select an individual image and use the editor to make changes to it. The changes will only apply to that image, not the entire batch.
[Optional] Use Position to align the images. Choose from:
Original
Uses the image position that was in place when you imported the image.
Centered
Positions the image centrally. Use the slider to add an internal margin (padding).
Template
Uses the position that was in place for the template. This option is only available if you have applied a template to your batch of images.
[Optional] Use Background to apply a regular background or an AI background to the images in your batch.
For regular backgrounds, you can remove the original image backgrounds and select a color to use instead.
For AI-generated backgrounds, you can select a type of background from the list of categories or select Create a background and make your own by using a text prompt. You can also choose which AI model to use for generating the AI background.
Note that each AI background that is generated counts toward the AI generation limits.
[Optional] Use AI Shadows to apply an AI-generated shadow to the images in your batch. Choose from:
Soft for a light shadow
Hard for darker, heavier shadow
Floating for a shadow below the main object in your image, creating a hovering effect.
[Optional] Select Upload to add more images to your batch.
[Optional] To make changes to an individual image, select the image to open it in the editor. Use the editor settings to change the image and then select < Batch mode to return to the batch.
When you are happy with your images, select Download your images. Enter a folder name for your images and choose the image file format, for example, JPEG. Select Download to download the batch of images as a zip file.
You can then unzip the file on your computer and use the image files.
